*Eleditor’s note: Astrology isn’t a religion. We’re not sure it’s a science, either. It’s magic, maybe. But, as with feng shui, say, things affect things. So as long as we don’t go blaming our problems on the stars, as long as we assume responsibility for our own actions…well, hell, a little auspicious coincidence and applicable wisdom can’t hurt. And so, with that grain of salt…enjoy!

“It’s impossible.” said pride.
“It’s risky.” said experience.
“It’s pointless.” said reason.
“Give it a try” whispered the heart. ~ Unknown
On Saturday May 21st there will be a Full Blue Moon in Sagittarius.
A Blue Moon is the third of four Full Moons within the same season, and is usually associated with being aligned with fate, giving us a chance at something we never considered possible.
The universe is throwing us a wild card—one last chance at getting the hand we’ve been gambling for all along.
Also rare is that the next two Full Moons will both be in Sagittarius, suggesting that we are just beginning a story this month that won’t come to fruition until the dust has settled after the Full Moon in June.
Things have been going slowly the past few months with five planets in retrograde. There are no accidents or coincidences—we’ve all been asked to slow down, rethink and remake our lives.
We have been asked this year if we are actually where we want to be, but in a deeper way than we have previously been unable to consider. Our soul’s purpose and work is being questioned, particularly the truth of our heart. Regardless of how much thinking we’ve been doing, we haven’t felt that nudge to action yet, but all of that is about to change.
Sagittarius is the freedom lover of the zodiac, the one to follow the beat of his own drum and who would rather learn a lesson the hard way than stay in the comfort zone based on fear. Even with his liberal nature, Sagittarius is practical and doesn’t often make rash decisions like other signs. The desire to have something concrete to hang onto is often Sagittarius’s greatest fault.
This is the greatest oxymoron for Sagittarius—the desire for freedom versus the wish to have it logically defined.
Usually overthinking can get us into trouble, but right now is an exception. If we have been practicing being in the present moment over the past few months, during the course of the current planetary retrogrades, we’ve likely gained an incredible amount of insight about who we are and the place we want to occupy in this world.
We’ve witnessed more about our lightness and darkness and have learned what we need from others in order to feel fulfilled and satisfied in our life. It’s been a time of truth, yet many of us are still feeling frustrated because we are unsure about how to build a bridge from where we are to where we desire to be.
The beautiful irony is that we’ve actually been building that bridge.
Each of our decisions, no matter how seemingly insignificant, have been building a foundation for future monumental points in our lives.
This Full Moon will show us the progress we’ve already made building this bridge. We will see where we want to be and see which actions we should take to efficiently manifest our desires.
There is a time for reflection—and then there is a time for engagement.
As the moon becomes full this Saturday, the final piece of the puzzle will slide into place and suddenly we willknow—everything that’s been previously hidden or denied will become clear.
Our true worth will become obvious.
Our choices will teach us valuable lessons.
It will be clear who we want to be and be with.
It’s been a long time coming but change is near.
With Mercury turning direct two days after this Full Moon, we will likely feel the longing to spring into action—and if the universe doesn’t conspire to bring destiny to our door, then we will feel the flames of desire pushing us toward making our own fate.
Our wheels begin to turn as we feel the life’s answers pulling us toward them. We will find peace. We may engage in some big conversations—trust that even if things are stirred up, the result will be harmonious.
Peace comes from accepting the truth that lives deep inside us. We will wake up to it when we are ready. Every single choice we’ve made is for a reason and teaches us a valuable lesson.
But, not so fast.
This isn’t the end of the story. In reality this is just the beginning. We won’t really see the end of the road until next month near the second Sagittarius Full Moon, June 20.
While loose ends can sometimes feel frustrating, trust that we need to leave these situations as they are until the timing it perfect to tie them up for good.
