Brené Brown’s brilliant explanation of Blame is a humbling Wake-Up Call.

Confronting our own sh*t is an awkward, painful task.

It’s uncomfortable. It makes us squirm in our seat.
I know I struggle with it in a way that makes me want to deny, shut down, or run the other way.
But when I’m able to find the courage to dive into the darkest, messiest parts of myself, it’s a goddamn revelation. And it’s especially powerful when I realize that my sh*t is no different than anyone else’s.
That’s what happened when I watched this video, in which Brené Brown admits to her own habits of compulsive blaming and reveals a universal human trait:
We are so damn good at blaming other people for our own crap.
In fact, some of us are downright pros at it.
It was squirmingly, painfully difficult to realize that I am as guilty as anyone of this habit.
But it’s so important to face our imperfectly perfect ugliness.

Brené Brown, you’ve done it again.
