Being an individual is very hard. I catch myself frequently trying to please the crowd at the expense of saying or doing what I believe is right. This saying of Dr. Seuss is offered to make us think, but it tends to be a generalization. Those who do mind also matter; indeed a life lived without healthy criticism would not be intellectually fertile. Also those who are important to our life are not always going to give us a pass. However, we can't always please everyone, and in our dance in God some people will choose to sit it out!
