You don’t have to wake up at 6:00 a.m.
You don’t have to meditate, or do yoga, or write down five things you’re grateful for.
You don’t have to do high-intensity interval training or avoid sugar, gluten, and dairy like the plague.
You don’t have to do any of these things to live a well-rounded, joyful, and soul-satisfied life.
Yes, take care of your sweet self—but don’t do what doesn’t fit or isn’t working.
There are so many ways in to feeling how it is that we want to feel.
Meditation isn’t the only way to find stillness and ease.
Avoiding half the food groups isn’t the only route to vitality.
Working out in a way that we dread isn’t the only way to take care of our bodies.
Do what works, and what feels good, and what nourishes you—not what you think you should be doing or what your brother, mother, or celebrity crush is doing. Because what works for someone else wont necessarily work for you.
We have to figure out what works ourselves—as the way we eat, move, live, and love needs to be individually tailored to meet the needs of each of our unique selves.
Life is short, sweet, and meant to be enjoyed. So, experiment…try it on—and, if it doesn’t fit, take it off, and move on to something else.
There’s no time to waste doing things we dread or staying with anything that isn’t working.
