Next week brings us the New Moon in Taurus and with it, one of the most powerful opportunities of the year to reset our relationship with our bodies, our health, and our inner world. After all, our thoughts and beliefs hold greater power over the way we experience our reality… and yet, it’s the last place we think to apply healing.
If there was a question this New Moon wanted us to answer, it would probably be:
Do you actually believe you can heal?
Merriam-Webster defines healing as “making sound or whole again.” This doesn’t just apply to physical ailments. We might need healing from a break-up, a disappointment, or a challenging few years. We might be hoping for financial healing after an unforeseen circumstance. We might even be healing from beliefs and perspectives that we’ve only recently identified. The path to our perfected self is a path of healing, a path of becoming whole. But it’s a process, and Taurus loves a process.
Because this earth sign is not about quick fixes, hacks, or temporary bursts of motivation. Taurus values lasting change. The kind that is built slowly, intentionally, and with care. The kind that becomes part of who you are. Healing is precisely that.
What Does Taurus Teach Us About Healing?
Taurus is a sign of security, stability, and embodiment. It governs the physical world—our bodies, our senses, our relationship to comfort, beauty, and nourishment.
Those born under this sign often have a natural ability to create environments that feel safe, supportive, and even luxurious. They can cook incredible meals, design beautiful spaces, and build lives that feel grounded and steady. But every energy carries both light and shadow. Many of us have been conditioned to believe that healing exists outside of us—in doctors, medication, or the “right” circumstances. And while these tools absolutely support the process and can be very necessary, they are not the source.
Think about it: when you break a bone or get sick, you may get a cast or receive medication, but neither of those things actually does the healing, do they? What actually heals us is time, rest, ease, and support from others so that our bodies can heal themselves. Medication and supportive practices simply assist the intelligence of our own bodies in doing what they inherently know how to do: return to wholeness.
So why is it so difficult to trust that this same intelligence exists within us emotionally and spiritually?
Why do we slow down and rest when our bones are broken, but not our hearts? Why do we trust physical healing—but doubt our ability to change our beliefs, our experience of life, or our fears?
Are Your Thoughts Healing—or Hurting?
The first place to look is the mind. The way we think about ourselves, our bodies, and our lives creates our entire experience of life. Study after study confirms this in profound ways:
Researchers at Johns Hopkins Medicine found that individuals with a positive outlook were significantly less likely to experience heart disease or cardiovascular events even when they had a significant family history of heart issues.
Another study revealed that people who simply believed they were less active than their peers had a dramatically higher mortality risk regardless of how much they actually exercised.
And research from Stanford University found that individuals who viewed stress as “enhancing” rather than debilitating experienced less anxiety and reported improved work performance. Even their thoughts about stress changed their experience of stress!
Put simply, what you believe becomes your biology, your reality, your life. It’s not just a mind and body connection, it’s mind body unity.
Are You Living from Control or from Certainty?
There is a concept in psychology called locus of control—the belief that we either shape our lives (internal) or are at the mercy of outside forces (external). Those with an external locus of control often feel like life is happening to them, that they are victims of circumstance. They experience more anxiety, more stress, and a deeper sense of helplessness.
But those with an internal locus of control experience something entirely different. They see themselves as participants in their lives. They live life like the Creator. They see possibility, they believe they are supported, and they have trust and certainty in the process. As a result, they tend to experience better physical health, greater emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of fulfillment.
These people aren’t better or more blessed; they simply think differently, and the month of Taurus invites us into this exact shift:
From waiting for things to get better to actively participating in bettering them.
From being stuck in fear to moving forward with trust.
From controlling outcomes to allowing room for the Light.
This month is about saying yes to a new thought, to seeing something differently, to trying on a consciousness of certainty even if it feels unfamiliar. Especially if it feels unfamiliar. Healing is no different than growth, happiness, peace, joy, or love—it doesn’t happen to you, it’s something you choose and participate in. It’s a moment-by-moment, choice-by-choice, thought-by-thought kind of endeavor.
It is asking you to begin to slow down. To listen to your body. To observe your thoughts. To choose, again and again, what allows for your healing. Because the same intelligence that heals your body is available to heal your mind, your heart, and your life. You just have to believe it. And then think, speak, and live like it’s true.
