“Whether it’s science or magic, if it’s of fun benefit, enjoy!” ~ ed

The waters of the earth are rising and simultaneously receding now.
Flooding and baptism-like waters pour in as torrential rain cascades across the sacred aina of the Hawaiian islands and other lands, displacing homes and families. Wreckage and destruction left in its wake.
The temperatures plummet to negative degrees northward and the heat smolders and engulfs in fiery, destructive flames in others. A loss of moisture and lack of wintering snowfall in some places and buckets of feet of snow in others. The “normal” seasons and weather patterns of the earth cycling in chaotic fashion, distorted rhythms and unprecedented uncertainty.
We look outside and wonder how to stay steady when the ground (quite literally) keeps shifting and quaking beneath our feet. The inner emotional weather patterns and outer weather patterns are constantly in flux and motion. The global stage is continuously dire, strained, and futile. A loss of hope grows in many as to where the future of humanity is heading next. And, yet, a glimmer and blast of light floods in, shocking us awake again, reminding us of our soul mission and sacred duty here on Earth for one of the wildest rides of consciousness ever expanding and awakening.
How do we reestablish and restore inner balance, peace, and harmony and hold emotional center as chaos swirls within and around us? How on earth do we stay connected to our hearts, let alone have an open heart in such intensity of systemic collapse, chaotic swirling energies, and doom parading around us at every waking step? We may feel pulled, poked, and prodded by the energies at large, sometimes victim-minded at all that is coming at us to alchemize and process.
Pisces season was dense. Heavy. Swollen. Full of exhaustion. Depletion. Depression. Apathy. Lack of desire to exist at all for some of us. The struggle to remain in this 3D survival fest bent on frying, straining, and depleting our nervous system’s capacity for a fleeting or momentary semblance of regulation. So, after so long, the stress and overwhelm of hypervigilance on the system reaches capacity and we collapse into a state of depression, the body and soul asking for us to listen and slow down.
How long have we been running on fumes anyway? Our whole lives? Complex trauma survivors understand the weight of this burden we’ve had to carry to remain functional in a dysfunctional society or family. Work. Sleep. Produce. Tend to these physical vessels. Manage day-to-day duties and responsibilities. And repeat. Oh yeah, and somewhere in between there, try to find meaning, deeper connection, maybe even play, inspiration and joy. But some days, our energy is just going toward survival and getting through the days and weeks. Is this the life we were truly meant to live? No, of course not. But how to get off the carousal of life pressuring us to fit into outdated and outworn boxes that keep our spirits quiet and stifled, muted and stilted?
This human existence was one our souls signed up for, yet our human self often laments and groans at the suffering, misery, and dissatisfaction many of us have endured calling it a life. But, instead, it’s a slow death of the self and soul. So, we self-medicate. TV shows and binge watching comfort shows. Into the land of technological screens we drift trying to find escape from this reality into another. We numb our soul’s fire over with substances: food, alcohol, drugs, what have you. The numbness of addiction feels like the only escape for our weary bodies and minds. Yet, it sinks our energy further into collapse.
Pisces season illuminated the patterns of escapism. The times we check the f*ck out. And, yes, sometimes we need to check the f*ck out. Discernment between healthy and unhealthy levels of checking out is up to us to know. Pisces energy has reminded us of these unconscious patterns of escapism and dissociation when life becomes too intense, exhausting, or misaligned. Pisces season also has shown us how to bring compassion to the parts of self who learned that the only way to make it through this incarnation was to self-medicate and find ways to escape. To bring more judgment to ourselves does nothing more than to further concretize these patterns, now laced in shame and forced into hiding out in the unconscious.
We swam in the cosmic soup of Pisces for what felt like an eternity. With Mercury moving through these dense waters of Pisces also for its retrograde journey, the stuck-in-the-mud type of energy felt tenfold. The ending of the zodiac wheel is never without its challenge or depth of deep sea diving into the murky waters of our own emotional process. The mercurial journey of the mind and messenger of the gods has been to connect us back to our soul blueprint, our cosmic mission, our divine purpose of being here in the first place, amidst the murkiness and unclear direction of where we are meant to go next. To know on a deep, visceral level, that all of this ends, that life recedes into death, and death recedes into new life. This Mercury retrograde has been deep of the deep, dragging us down, down, down into the karmic energies still governing us. A bigger unfolding picture of the soul’s journey and lessons we’ve been learning this last decade-plus. No wonder we are utterly exhausted. A bone-deep fatigue and tiredness of the soul journey thus far, bent on aligning with systems that take, take, take from us. Pisces energy has shown us what needs to end. What has already ended energetically and now the 3D just needs to catch up. Sometimes, a job, a relationship, a habit, a way of being has already died, and we can feel the deadened weight we still carry if we still give our energy to it, as if our legs were made of lead.
We all have been waiting in prayerful anticipation for the energies to let up, for the density to lighten, for the cosmic and karmic load to stop soul-crushing us. And yet, it seems this was all a part of what we needed to be with as the year of the snake has been slowly transitioning into the fire horse energy. As all things interconnect and Pisces knows this to be true, we had not yet started a new astrological year. March has been a month much similar in energy and feel to February, still clearing out and integrating eclipse energy. We had a new moon in Pisces on February 18, a time of increasing sensitivity stirring in our hearts and energy systems. This new moon marked the official ending of the eclipse season. A deeper integration and clearing out of the energies we’ve been moving through in this intense eclipse season cycle. Making a supportive sextile to Uranus still in Taurus, a call for freedom and breaking free from these deep, karmic cycles and patterns we’ve held in our unconscious emotional waters. Pisces goes beyond this lifetime even, so the clearing out has felt tenfold, even if we can’t logically understand the source or origin of it.
On March 20, the new astrological cycle commenced, with the sun blasting out of the cosmic waters of Pisces into the embers of the Aries flame. The same day as the Equinox, an energetic time of new life stirring in the ground ready to break through into spring bloom, and for others in the world, the quieting of the earth into fall and more restful, contemplative energies. It was also the same day that Mercury finally stationed direct. Though it remains for two weeks in shadow, the fog and confusion begins to lift. The disorientation and disillusionment of where we are and what we are doing starts to clear. The mind journeys back from the cosmic depths of inward gaze, dream activation, and soulful wandering. Aries energy is a welcomed energy to say the least for many of us. A whole new cycle begins with this fire energy, reigniting our inner flame and ember within. The month of April will be a whole new energy full of fire and ignition, with eight planets in the sign of Aries: Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, Eris, the sun, Mercury and Mars and the moon for the Aries new moon on April 17.
On April 1, the first full moon of the astrological new year lands in the sign of Libra at 10:12 p.m. EST and at 12 degrees of the cardinal air sign. The Aries/Libra axis is one that straddles our relationship to self and relationship to other. Aries is the individual self, the soul coming into form for the first time. Aries energy and season brings the fire of self-leadership, sovereignty, and self-autonomy. It shows us where we have been leaking our energy and giving our power away to others to decide how we are meant to live our lives. Aries is the brazen energy we need to find a reason to be alive, to be courageous in the pursuit of a life full of passion and purpose. If we aren’t living that, Aries energy is here to blast us with a dose of boldness to start claiming the life we truly want and are worthy of. Aries is the cosmic warrior. Here to fight for what is true and what is real. Action is the name of the Aries game. Service to the self not out of narcissistic, inflated psychopathology but in self-ownership of what we truly desire and want for ourselves.
The shadow side of Aries is, of course, narcissism, selfishness, over-aggressiveness, volatility, and anger. Aries energy reminds us to have a healthy connection and outlet for our anger. Anger as ally for when our boundaries our breached by another or when we need to self-advocate and speak up for our needs and truth to be heard. Channel the inner warrior with purpose. Ruled by Mars, Aries reminds us that the inner warrior can be an archetypal energy in higher service to the call for sovereignty of self. To know that the more energetically sovereign we become, the less influenced we are by outside chaos, storms, global collapse, parasitical and patriarchal energies, external judgments, outside authority, and systemic collapse. We take back our energy from all the systems, places, and things that have been feeding on us our whole lives.
Aries energy is soul sovereignty. Many of us empaths have continuously bled for others. Over-given for others. People pleased. Abandoned our own needs to be loved. Silenced our own voices to not disturb the peace. Aries says, “F*ck that.” Aries can absolutely bring the match and the kerosene to burn our outdated and misaligned lives and old relational patterns down. To know that the more we self-compromise our inner values and fire the more that fire goes out.
Libra energy brings the balance point to this Aries fire. Libra energy is ruled by Venus, an energy seeking harmony and equilibrium, balancer of the scales of justice, relationships, and life. Libra is the ruler of our relationships. How to be in relationship that truly honors our soul sovereignty? This is the point of inquiry many of us sensitive souls ask, as most of us have taken a path of isolation, solitude, aloneness, and hermit-like time to remember what our own energy even feels like separate from the energy and influence of others. And yet, too much isolation cuts us off from our innate need for healthy connection with others. Libra energy reminds us to find and invest in the relationships that feel balanced, reciprocal, and energetically aligned, harmonious more often than in disarray or conflict. Of course, we can’t always play the peace keeper and silence our own needs to pacify another’s. Libra energy asks us to nourish the relationships that are aligned for us and the soul we are becoming now, not in who we once were or used to be.
This full moon in Libra illuminates the ways in which we have over-given, people-pleased, and sacrificed our own needs to keep the peace in our relationships. It helps us redefine what a healthy and balanced relationship to self and other looks and feels like, how to return to relationship to others and foster deeper connections with those who can energetically meet us. This full moon illuminates our relationship to life, to our jobs, to our homes, to our bodies, to our minds, to our emotions, to our souls. Libra energy asks us to reclaim and restore inner energetic balance within the self, between our masculine (yang, doing) energies and our feminine (yin, being) energies. Our relationship to our inner world is highlighted with this full moon energy, as the moon always illuminates the unconscious material, as well as our emotions. Are we allowing our emotions to exist or are we pushing and shoving them away? Or trying to override what we feel for the sake of a better or more regulated-feeling emotional experience? How is our relationship to the collective energy? Are we taking on more than our share to alchemize and transmute? Libra energy reminds us that it is through the mirror of other that we can more clearly see the self. Even if others have projected onto us, we can wipe the slate and mirror clean again, only if we are willing to clearly see the self outside of others’ influence or assessment of us.
As we make our way through Aries season, our relationship to self comes into view and spotlight focus. If through trauma we have accumulated a dusty and convoluted perception of self, we must now shed the false beliefs and return to the source and core of who we actually are. Aries is the “I am” energy we need to return to the source of truth before we became mired in all the titles we give ourselves such as “healer” (or insert job title here), or any other definitive description of who we are in any given moment. The “I am” is the first breath and life of consciousness. And anything that follows is superfluous attachment to identities we will outgrow and have to surrender in the end anyway. So we must get crystal clear on who we actually are.
Aries energy is the energy of ego. To live in this world, we must develop an ego, but having a healthy relationship to our ego and not letting it overinflate or dominate us or others into submission is vital. The ego oftentimes is the unawakened inner child, the part of self we cut off when we underwent trauma or painful experiences. How we relate to the ego shows us where we are in our psychological and spiritual development. Do we judge and castrate it as ungodly? Or do we learn to temper and work with it in balance to the soul voice? This full moon shines light on our relationship to the ego and its relationship to the unconscious, hidden emotional material within us.
From now until May 6 (when Pluto goes retrograde), we will have zero planets in retrograde motion. A time of forward momentum picking up again. A few week time period where the energies are pulling us forward into action and movement again. Jupiter (having recently gone direct out of retrograde) adds support for this forward, expansive energy. The start of 2026 having been more insular, inward, and shadow focused, a thwarted energy to gear us up for this fire energy of Aries season and the fire horse year.
This full moon will be aiding us as we launch into this brand-new energy. The sun and the moon will be making a T-square to Jupiter in Cancer, so our emotions and sensitivities may be magnified, heightened, and amplified here. This square may amplify any repressed or dismissed feelings of anger. Finding and creating healthy outlets to release our anger is key. We could feel extra sensitive with this energy and may be personalizing things a little bit more. Old familial wounds and emotional hurts may be amplified here in our current relationships. Relationships will and do serve as a mirror back to the self of our own emotional healing process. This energy illuminates our patterns around emotional entanglement with others. Where we take on the emotions and baggage of others in the name of love and care, but losing ourselves and sense of sovereign energy in the process. Can we care for and stay in our own energy while we care for and hold space for another?
Jupiter will be trine to the north node, bolstering our spiritual purpose in how we are nourishing ourselves emotionally. Our emotions become a mirror back to our spiritual health. When we have a healthy emotional flow and channel, our spirit opens, our channel to spirit becomes clearer and our bigger, unfolding purpose reveals itself more easily. We also have a supportive trine from Pluto in Aquarius to this full moon, aiding us in the soul transformation and rebirth of the sovereign self we have been reclaiming. The question looms in any given moment as to how we are operating from higher self and soul service to the collective awakening of consciousness. Or, are we getting lost in the density of shadows and lower unconscious, fear-driven energies still clearing out collectively? Our relationships are being transformed and unleveled with this energy to get us connected to our true soul group and soul family. To remember that we are not a stand-alone soul here to do it all on our own, that we get to be in community and connection with our soul family and that feeding those relationships and nourishing them will pull us out of any sinking, swampy, quicksand of doom or depression-like energy. But, we must reach outwardly for the connection to others. And not continue to hide away in the darkness of self-imprisoned isolation.
During this full moon, Pluto will be making a square to Venus in Taurus, asking us to shed outdated ways of relating to money in a scarcity mindset lens. Our values are being upgraded. We are aligning now with our true worth to receive abundant support from the universe and shed fear-driven beliefs around money or our worth. With Venus as the ruler of this full moon, our relationships are being transformed. And as we transform our own self-value, self-worth, boundaries, and needs, either others and the relational template uplevel with us or they phase out of our lives. Our sense of safety, security, and stability is changing here. Perhaps the ways we generate income and financial stability are being asked for an upgrade as well, one that brings more balance and harmony to our lives rather than depletion. Relational fears we are holding onto still around needing to control others are illuminated as well.
This full moon makes an inconjunct to Mercury, though, now out of retrograde, so not all of the information about our transformation process is made clear just yet. There are still gaps being filled in and the mind finding its way back to clearer vantage point. But, perhaps, we can still trust and move forward into this next cycle and chapter without knowing just yet how it’s going to look. Uranus will be moving into Gemini (ruler of the mind) on April 25, an era heralding of mind innovation and freedom-seeking energies. New ideas are coming. New inspirations and avenues of thought for how we want to bring about change and innovation to our lives. But, for now and with this full moon energy, we allow the mind to incubate in the unknown and in-between spaces of old meeting the new.
This full moon is asking for honesty and balance in our relationships. To be a warrior for peace. For justice. For balance to return to this world and to the earth. We are witnessing a war of the minds and a war of the lands. It is a spiritual war, though actual blood is being spilt by the overly inflated, warring, narcissistic, and egoic energy gone awry and out of balance. Yet, quietly, underneath the chaos, a much older template of harmony is recalibrating within us to be resurrected in the world in the coming years. These coming and ongoing years of change, collapse, system overhaul, and regeneration of soul sovereignty and truth are not for the faint of heart. But, together, and in sacred relationship with the earth, with our soul, with our cosmic blueprint, with our soul family, we remember it is possible and why we are here. This full moon resurrects new relationship codes and templates based on who we are now. Can we remain in balanced energy even when we don’t agree with someone? Can we dialogue with an open heart when someone else threatens our own truth? Can we uphold better energetic boundaries between self and other to not get enmeshed and lost in the matrix mind of another?
Allow this full moon to soften your heart. And solidify your more permeable nature to the outside influence of others. Let this full moon remind you how to balance your mind with your heart. How to find better balance within the self and shed ways of relating to people, places, and things that drain you of your precious life force energy. Let this full moon be a soothing balm even as emotions stir and amplify. Let the season of fire reignite your inner flame and passion. To remind you that life is still worth living and that we are becoming the creators of that new template of life. Let it remind you to be patient with yourself and the parts of you that cling on to the old, familiar pain of the known reality. Give them so much love and compassion for keeping you alive all these many years.
Let this full moon bring deeper harmony to your emotional waters. Remind you how to cleanse and release and renew the waters within you. To be the clearer channel of the divine you came here to be. In sacred relationship to your soul first and foremost. To the divine within you. This. Is. The. Truest. Relationship. To. Be. Tethered. To. In. The. Coming. Days. Let. Yourself. Untether. From. All. That. Drains. You. Becoming. Free. Sovereign. And. Whole. Again. You. Are. The. I. Am. You. Are. The. Creator. Of. This. Life. Light. The. Fire. Burn. The. Match. Come. Alive. Again. Awaken. To. The. Light. And. Ember. Of. Divine. Flame. You. Are. Aho. Amen. And so it is.
