The waters of the physical world are swirling, churning, and brewing in hurricane, cyclone, and storm like fashion, impending chaos and doom in news headlines glaring at us.
The mana of the natural world and ocean is raw and unpredictable right now, reminding us of our sacred place and impermanence in this vulnerable landscape of life. Of the impermanence of the physical world and tangible elements we cling to. Fear and faith are flip sides of the same coin. Especially when weather and environmental fears stir our own internal storms and threaten our sense of safety and survival in this world. We have little to no control over the “weather” of these times in the literal and broadly speaking energetic sense, but we do have control and governing say over our own internal storms. Where the inner meets the outer, we meet ourselves again and again.
We can sense and feel more astutely how pivotal these times are, how precious our energy is, and where we place our attention, whether on fear and panic or trust and surrender. On wise preparedness coupled with trust and faith. In a deeper understanding of how vital each individual awakening soul is to the collective fabric of humanity.
We have been on a deep spiritual awakening journey these past many months and years now, though some souls are still catching up to the plight and plot of our deeper held purpose here on this earth plane as conscious, sovereign, co-creator beings of light. We have been on a long journey home now, and the energies of light codes swirling and simmering continue to jostle us awake, even if it is in discomfort of symptomatic processes unveiling the truth underneath the dis-ease.
Eclipse season is well underway and we are all along for the ride of this wave of collective and cosmic energies rising and receding. Yet, to bring awareness and deeper understanding to the energies can ease our human minds, learning to trust and surrender to the waves of change, uncertainty, and soul path still becoming clear and crystalline into view and vision of inner eye seeing.
Eclipse season is a deeply initiatory time, a time of change, rerouting, and redirection if we’ve lost sight of our true soul path, timeline shifting, and quantum leaping, as well as karmic collapse of what is no longer in service and needed. Eclipse season and the releasing of attachments for our highest good can be painful and full of loss, of course, destabilizing our inner nervous systems and outer vortex fields but also deeply purifying and alchemizing of the weight and karmic load we’ve been carrying. Eclipse season is a potent energetic portal and time where the cosmic energies are amplified. A time for things, habits, beliefs, people, jobs, and anything misaligned in our energetic field to be eclipsed out and for that which is in our highest energetic alignment to be eclipsed in.
Eclipses invite us into the cauldron of change. Through velocity and sometimes brute force. We can resist all we might and like, but sometimes the best way is through, through the process of discomfort, to surrender, hands open to God, and say in trust, “Have your way with me. Make me anew so I can be the bridge between heaven and earth I came here to be. Endow me with wisdom so that I may lead from my heart now, letting the mind drop into the heart and remember its place in the vast Mystery of Life. I accept what is. I release what is no longer. And I open to the miracle of life that is waiting for me as soon as I trust it is all happening for me. This love is my true north and compass home. Guide me as need be so that I may awaken to the truth of who I am.”
We began this powerful eclipse season with a new moon and total solar eclipse in the fixed, fire sign of Leo on August 12, amidst a differently felt Leo season. With the nodes of fate having recently transited into the signs of Aquarius (as the north node ruler) and Leo (as the south node ruler), this eclipse was a doorway into a whole new collective, soul evolution of karmic and dharmic lessons now unfolding for the next 18 months. This Leo eclipse was a karmic release point being that it was working directly with the Leo south node, asking us to shed and release shadow Leo archetypal energies around excessive ego identification, attachments to old identities, the incessant need for external validation, over reliance on self and self alone, hyper-individualism, and inflated pride and egos.
In the excess of Leo’s shadow, the limelight of fame can cast such a dark, permeating shadow yet because of the pedestal of fame and power, be mistaken for false light. The false light is one we can see so much clearer on the Hollywood stage now, how fame and power and giving of oneself to the false light programs and to the dark agendas bring about an insidious power, a darkness of abuse, control, and blatant harm to the most vulnerable populations, usually women and children.
What has been continuously swept under the rug of avoidance and deflection is no longer able to with the light of awakening consciousness now. Too many people not only are seeing the truth but also speaking up about the vile atrocities and abuse against women and children. The shadow of fame and starlight burns brightly now, engulfed in a flame of fire, rage, and outright anger over the harm these people in power and in the public eye have caused to the heart of humanity. Leo is the heart. The beating, thumping heart here to roar and awaken again, and say, “Enough! I will protect and snarl my teeth to defend the most vulnerable. For the sacred heart of the innocent is most worthy of defending against the shadows of misused power and abuse.”
This Leo eclipse was potent with energies to boot, encompassing two T-square energies and two kite formations of eight major planetary energies. Mercury in Leo was opposing Pluto in Aquarius, amplifying this tension and release point between our mental fears stirring and the fears of self-expression. Speaking up and being bold enough to speak the truth and unveil the truth for the collective to see and know. All it takes is one person to speak up, then another, then another. Our minds have been programmed and inundated with fear from birth, and this eclipse energy is the match to remind us that fear is just one voice, even if it’s been the loudest. We get to choose whose voice we listen to. And that is how we reclaim our sovereign power. Mercury opposing Pluto can bring in a sense of mental agitation, highlighting the fears we are holding onto in our minds, leading us into the shadows of worst-case-scenario, and intensifying the fear from the collective (Aquarius) we have assimilated into our individual egoic mind (Leo).
The discomfort and mind irritation could be starkly felt of how much of our energy we’ve given over to the fear programming and let our minds run rampant and amuck there. Sometimes, the best we can do is speak kind, supportive words intentionally and internally to ourselves. Reclaim the power of our inner voice to speak energies of love, peace, support, and a sense of okayness. Even just telling ourselves, “Everything is okay. I am safe.” Whatever mind mantra we feel intuitively drawn to during this eclipse to soothe our nervous systems and minds will be pivotal. To know even in the discomfort and overwhelm of fear and emotion that we are okay, and everything is going to be okay. The Leo eclipse was highlighting this Leo/Aquarius journey we are all on now. One where we are awakening to our true inner self and voice, our creative gifts asked to come out of hiding, our inner child being bolder and louder now in its expression and longing for our heart’s needs to be met, and remembering our sense of belonging to ourselves first.
Leo season has been jostling our hearts awake again. Even if in pain points at times too, as Chiron, newly in Taurus, has stationed retrograde on August 3 and will remain until January 6, 2027 but will slink back into its previous sign of Aries on September 17. We are just getting a sample now of Chiron in Taurus energies: wounds around our sense of safety, security, feeling good enough (or not), money and scarcity wounds, relationship to the body, food, and our resources. With this retrograde period, we will be asked to culminate and integrate the Chiron journey in Aries and wrap up healing lessons around self-identity, self-confidence, sovereignty, who we are now, and the state of our physical bodies. Chiron retrograde is a deeply felt time around that particular branding of wounding we feel that makes us so incredibly vulnerable and exposed to life. Though, as we are learning more and more: “The wound is the place where the light enters you,” as Sufi mystic Rumi says. It doesn’t mean it’s not without discomfort or pain but the wound is the source of our greatest wisdom and soul growth. And Chiron reminds us that even if the wound never fully heals, we will garnish and glean wisdom from it as long as we continuously and consciously work with and engage in such a way to make the unconscious conscious.
We make our way now from the fixed fire sign of Leo to the mutable, earth energy of Virgo season beginning on August 23. And we continue the eclipse journey into the second of the eclipses for the full moon and lunar eclipse on August 27/28 in the water sign of Pisces at 5 degrees and at 9:18 PST. This second eclipse bridges a story beginning in 2024 and culminating in 2027, of the Virgo/Pisces axis. This second eclipse will be a spiritual release point of energies around the collective lessons of this nodal axis point, where we will have our final release point along this axis of soul evolution in February 2027 for the Virgo lunar eclipse and full moon. A lunar eclipse is potent and deep, amplifying those full moon energies of release and letting go. A time when our unconscious and inner worlds stir louder, emotions coming up to the surface to be felt and honored. This Pisces energy is a north node eclipse, illuminating the soul growth journeys we have been on as we made our way toward the former Pisces north node ruler. What soul growth have we gleaned these last two years? What cycles and lessons have we moved through on a soul level? Have we learned to surrender and trust in the journey even if a fraction more and let go of the inner controller and critic of self and the journey? This Pisces eclipse is a closure of bigger spiritual cycles and chapters of soul evolution, soul lessons, and soul contracts.
Pisces energy is water. Mutable and moveable. Fluid and flowy. Spiritual and dreamy. Connected to the higher realms. The mystical magic of the Great Mystery. The Inner Mystic. The inner mystique. The dreams we hold onto to remind us of the greater purpose to it all. The soul wisdom. Our intuitive inner voice. Pisces energy reminds us to let go and surrender to the flow of life and its higher wisdom. Even if our human understanding of it is still catching up. Pisces energy is ruled by Neptune, so our dreams here may be more vivid and ramped up. There can be a fogginess at times with Neptune, so we may not see the clear, tangible picture of what we are releasing and what we are moving toward. Neptune is the higher, spiritual mind, the all-seeing-eye of Truth. Neptune in Aries now, retrograde, is a deep inward soul and self-reflective time to ask ourselves: how are we moving toward our newly awakened dreams? Can we just begin by taking one step forward? And in retrograde motion, sometimes the step toward the creation of our dreams is by going inward, to get clear on what it is we truly want to create. From true, sovereign self. Pisces energy is the end of the end. The return to the spiritual void. The liminal space between form and formless. In between worlds, many of us are. In between life chapters. In between no longer and not yet. The in-between space of the void is never a comfortable space to exist in. But Pisces reminds us that there is great medicine in the void, in the Mystery.
Pisces energy returns us to the soul magic we carry within us inherently. That we are the bringers of the magic into this world. The bridge between heaven and earth. But in order to do so, Virgo as Pisces’ counterpart energy and ruler of the sun here, reminds us we have to be in our bodies. Pisces energy can easily float and drift away into the ethereal realms, out of body and out of mind. We can become floaty, ungrounded, and dissociative. We can leave our bodies and beings uninhabited and open to other intruders and hosts of energies. Virgo calls us back home to the body. We need a body to bring the dreams to life in a real, tangible way. Pisces energy in its shadow can illuminate escapism mechanisms and addictions of all types to substances and behaviors. Our phones are one such portal and powerful source these days of energy siphoning and addiction. Our phone is a portal to another world. A digital, contrived world. We see and witness whole other realities through this hand-held device. We lose sight of our footing in this lived-in reality and drift for hours away, away, away into the land of AI creation and digital interfacing. We can feel the subtleties and pull on our energetic and spiritual body too.
Pisces is the spiritual body. The sensitivities to other energies. Pisces can be so porous to external energetic influence and lack the boundaries and containment needed to self-source its own energy and not be fed on by parasitical energies. How can we embrace our spiritual sensitivity and openness while fiercely protecting our energetic boundaries? How can we trust the voice of our intuition is our true inner voice if we are soaking up the voices of the outside world like a sponge? Virgo reminds us to ground the energy back into the body. Somatic practices, breathwork, yoga, body/mind practices reconnect us back to this physical vessel, of which we are a steward. Self-abandonment is out. Self-stewardship is in. We are so sacred. And we must protect the sacred we are. And be discerning as to who and what we give our energy to. To know that our energy is sacred. That everything we engage with is an energetic exchange and we don’t need to freely give our energy to everything or everyone anymore. Depletion of self and our sacred energy is out. Sacred containment and honoring of our capacity is in.
This full moon eclipse is making some potent aspects as well. The moon will be making a square to Uranus in Gemini, bringing in some unexpected change energy in service, though, of our spiritual growth and soul evolution. Uranus is the radical revolutionary, bringing the lightning bolts of awareness and shifts to and through the portals of our consciousness to show us what needs to change. Sometimes, the changes just come our way without asking for our permission or comfort. But they always require our active and conscious participation or else we remain victim to circumstance and life-happening-to-me-energy. The victimhood story is one many of us sensitive souls and others know well. Empaths alike can attest to how challenging and gutting this human incarnation has been on us, from toxic family patterns to chronic health issues and financial or material instability, to relational challenges. It’s so easy to fall into victimhood. And it’s so understandable and valid. Pisces in its shadow can fall into depression and apathy, feeling victim to life and energies. But the higher octave of Pisces is the medicine of compassion. To offer our hearts and minds and bodies an ample dose of compassion, compassion even for the inner victim who has felt like they are doomed to suffer in a fate of misery and suffering.
Uranus in Gemini square to the sun and the moon here (forming a potent T-square) activates the human and spiritual mind to shake us up just enough so we can release the stories of victimhood by holding a compassionate lens for this incredibly trying and challenging human experience. A deeper, emotionally felt call toward spiritual freedom and liberation. The revelations will be intuitively felt as to what needs to change. Change is coming for us (ready or not), says Uranus. So we can choose to make the change and consciously create the endings of things no longer conducive for who we have become, or we can wait for the energies to force change upon us, which is usually much more painful and shocking. Eclipses are potent windows to take stock and inventory of everything in our life. This Pisces energy highlights that which is soul-sucking and spiritually and energetically draining us, and the eclipses ask us to release it. Our soul, and spirit, is done compromising, overgiving its energy, self-sacrificing for others, and abandoning our own soul to belong to places and environments that deplete us on deep reservoir levels.
Uranus will station retrograde on September 10, the same day as the Virgo new moon, so we are in the shadow window period during this Pisces full moon and may already be feeling the energies more on an unconscious, subconscious level. Uranus retrograde in Gemini will aid us in breaking out of and free from mental loops and ruts, to reexamine the mental stories we are telling ourselves and change the narratives as needed to help us feel more freed up in our energy and mind. Patterns of communication internally and externally will be under review and how we share and engage with the overwhelming amount of information at our fingertips. We are in the age of information after all, and only one click away from outsourcing our knowledge to a computer and AI to tell us what the truth and answer is. This retrograde may illuminate all the ways in which we outsource our inner higher knowing to the external noise and outside sources on the screen. It’s a time to free our own minds from mental prisons and remind ourselves that liberation is just one thought and perspective away.
Mercury and the mind will be a key player for this full moon and eclipse also. A Mercury cazimi with the sun conjunct to Mercury in Virgo will be activating our minds. The moon will be opposing this Mercury in Virgo energy. Mercury in Virgo is all about the details, the ways in which we seek to bring order to the chaos and perceived disorder of life. Pisces reminds us though to have faith in spirit amidst the chaos and to trust that there is spiritual order even in the perceived chaos. Mercury in Virgo wants clear, succinct, analytically understood communication. Virgo energy highlights our routines, habits, health, and work in the world. Our minds are ready for new routines and work structures but in order to do so we must release the old. Virgo can be anxiety and worry filled, so we must soothe the inner fears with great compassion and tenderness. As new ideas come to light, old attachments to our previously held ideas are asked to be shed. The sun and the moon are still working closely with the nodes of fate here too, drawing upon the bigger picture perspective of the soul journey, releasing overidentification to logic and returning to intuitive trust and inner knowing so we can draw upon our creative gifts and be of service to the collective heart awakening now.
Pisces energy governs the feet and lymphatic system and Virgo energy governs our gut, digestive system, and nervous system. Leo energy governs our heart and life force, spine, upper back, and circulatory system. We may feel the sensitivities of these systems more activated during this eclipse window of time. So be so very gentle on your bodies, guts, hearts, backs, and nervous systems, giving them the support they need to feel safe. Safety is the bridge home.
Eclipse season will be with us for the next six months, as these energies continue to do their work within us. A time to take great care of our bodies, minds, and beings. To incorporate self-care practices to ease the symptoms of awakening, and also to meet the symptoms just as they are sometimes and not create a story or react out of fear and perpetuate a feeling of not being safe. Pisces energy reminds us that this all ends after all. The soul will leave the body when it is our time. And yet we are reminded by the Virgo energy to care devotedly to the body as the sacred vessel of our spirit.
Let this full moon and lunar eclipse soften your heart toward yourself. Let compassion be your guide and inner wise sage. Let this full moon remind you how to let go and surrender to the Mystery you are. Allow the Pisces soul you are to connect you to your true soul voice, to hear the messages from your spirit and spiritual team as guiding light in the dark, and to know you are never alone or without this guidance. Let this full moon bring the changes in with grace and ease. Allow this full moon to wash over your spirit and body like water, taking all that is no longer needed downstream. Let your thoughts that strip you of your inner wellspring of love energy wash down the drain now. Thank them. Bless them. Release them. Return to the body.
Call the soul home. Let your dreams call you home now. Have faith in the purpose of all that is here for you. Challenge. Discomfort. Dis-ease. Uncertainty. Let it all be as it is. No mistakes have been made. Let yourself remember this truth. You. Are. Not. A. Mistake. You. Are. A. Soul. Being. Living. As. A. Human. For. Just. A. Little. While. Soften. Your. Judgement. Toward. Yourself. Let. The. Inner. Critic. Remember. Compassion. As. Guide. You. Are. Sacred. Remember. The. Sacred. Within. The. Mystical. Magic. You. Carry. Dream. A. New. Dream. As. You. Release. The.
