Libra Full Moon: Relationships as Healing Portals to Wounds. {April 12/13}

The scene from “Titanic” near the end pans by in the mind’s eye and rear viewing now.

The one lifeboat returning after the ship capsized into the deep waters and those without a half-cut door to splay their body onto left to their fate, searching for any survivors, yelling “Is there anyone alive out there?!” with a flashlight scanning the waters for any hint of life amidst the destruction.

A bit of a dramatic scene to describe but seems and sounds oddly befitting of this latest eclipse season and series of eclipses and retrograde energies.

Eclipse season this year was one for the books. We’ve been straddling this energy of karmic shedding and deep letting go of former versions of self imprinting, all the meanwhile being asked to step further into the unknown and be naked with God again as we pose the questions: “Who are we now? How much more true Self can I safely embody for the fulfillment of the divine expression through me as the me I am now?”

The Virgo lunation and lunar eclipse brought many of us to our knees with karmic release points, bodily disturbances, and physical manifestations of energy clearing. The Aries solar activation thereafter kicked us in the behind a bit to step deeper into the fires of Kali ma destruction, by burning away all that is of the false self, and asking us to awaken to the primal fire of who we are becoming, even if that feels foreign and terrifying still at times.

Eclipse season has a reverberation effect, and the energies will continue to oscillate through us as the months go on. Integration of any medicine work is pivotal and these eclipses were highly medicinal, if not a little or a lot painful and ego-activating and disintegrating at first. Integration of the medicine is where the work truly is. How do we bridge the 5D activations back into the messy, fleshy 3D reality of this human incarnation? Slow things way, way down. And that’s what all these retrograde energies of Venus and Mercury did. Though it felt sticky as f*ck, the slow down was grace-filled to allow for deeper integration. Our egos might have wrestled with the energy at times, wanting to control and micromanage life, people, or situations according to our will to avoid the discomfort and change that eclipse season pushes us through the portal of. But eclipse season is a portal, a soul initiation into a higher octave of self. And, this becoming rarely feels comfortable or devoid of egoic death.

We stand on the other side of the eclipses now but still swimming in the riptides as these energies continue to move through us. Aries season has opened the gateway to a deeper felt and newly discovered sense of self, more rooted in soul sovereignty and truth. A new beginning and era of self, one still not fully known or experienced just yet. A true Aries pioneer into a whole new chapter and blossoming of self unfolding as we courageously keep choosing faith over fear, expansion over limitation, and the new over the old. Aries season has kicked off the astrological new year with some growing pains no doubt, but the ego self must be transformed in order to birth a whole new world.

Aries energy is ruled by the planet Mars, which has still been swimming in the soupy, sopping swamp energy of Cancer for so many moons now. Cancer energy here has been bringing us face to face with past hurts, pains, and resentments, familial and ancestral karmic cycles, wounds around safety, belonging, and our connection to the Mother. The energy has been moody and broody and Mars is about ready to throw in the wet towel on the healing process. But we’ve had to slow down enough to feel and deepen into the emotions that don’t often feel rosy or sun-shiny and good. To feel and know where our energy keeps looping in the past. So we can truly move forward into right aligned action once Mars moves out of Cancer and into Leo on April 18. This will be a welcomed and palpable shift with Mars gaining traction and strength again, with some fire and passion to boot after so much sludgy water.

This eclipse energy is bringing us to the final and culminating chapter of this Aries/ Libra (self/other) axis we have been straddling since 2023 now. The final chapter in the stories of lessons around these energies will end (but need to integrate now) with the Libra full moon illumination, landing on April 12/13 at 8:21 p.m. EST and at 23 degrees of the cardinal air sign. The Libra full moon brings an end and release point to the karmic stories of self sovereign repression, freeing itself from entanglement in other, codependency bent on self-abandonment, and people pleasing as a survival mechanism. We have been deeply steeping in the lesson of reclaiming our autonomous sense of self and releasing habits and patterns of relational lack, over-dependency on other, and not knowing our true self outside of relationship to other.

Relationships have been deeply highlighted and magnified here, and even more so with Venus, Libra’s ruling planet, retrograde since March 1. Venus retrograde through the sign of Aries and now back into Pisces, until she stations direct on the same day as the full moon, has been gifting us with karmic review and relational lessons of the past. As well as highlighting our sense of self-value and self-worth, and our financial relationship to abundance/lack mentality. We have been sifting through the patterns of our ways of showing up in relationships. Seeing how the other is truly a mirrored back to parts of our own self. A sacred reflection to see where we are either seeing our wholeness and worth, or enabling our sense of lack and fragmentation.

Venus in Pisces now reconnects us to the emotional world of our relationships. What truly has value to us in a relational container? Pisces connects us to the spiritual purpose of our relationships. How are they serving our soul’s mission and path or delaying us stepping further onto our soul path? All relationships bring lessons and are for purpose, but these retrograde energies have been showing us where we might be recycling old people and relationship patterns simply because our self-value is still not fully upgraded yet. And it’s all okay. We are learning and growing all the same and need not berate or shame ourselves for needing to have the fullness of the human experience and let the breath of a relationship fully move its way through us, clearing all subconscious blocks along the way that we need to.

Libra is the sign most closely related to our relationships. To the energy of other. But who are we first and foremost in relationship to? To self? To God? To higher self? Are we truly connected to ourself and to our divine essence? And how can we reorient our compass back to this sacred mission of self-relationship if we’ve drifted away at all?

Relationship isn’t just about another human either. But relationship to life, to our homes, to our communities, to our jobs, to our purpose, to our healing journey, to our emotions and to parts of self. To the body. To our minds. To our hearts. To our pleasure. To food and nourishment. To movement. To our womb if we have one. To our voices. To our creativity. To the land, to the waters and the ocean mama that holds us. To the winged beings, the angelic realms, the ancestral lineages that keep and hold us. To our karma and to our dharma. To our wounds. To our wounded sense of self.

How do we relate to our most wounded, fragile, and vulnerable self? How do we relate to the masculine within and without? To the feminine within and without? How to rewrite and rewire relationships if shame, fear, and guilt have pervaded? Enter reverently all spaces that hold story of unworthiness. And hold them gently, stroking their head and hair like a mother tending to a child.

This full moon is shining a light yet again on those fractured wounds held within our psyches that we are all too familiar with by now. The sun in Aries will be forming a chazimi (conjunction) with the wounded healer, Chiron, also still in Aries. The sun is our conscious self. The outward expression of our consciousness. Chiron brings the shamanic medicine to activate our wounds so we can truly transform the pain back into vitality, passion, and purpose. To see the wounds not as a measure of how broken we are, how defunct and deficient we are, but as sacred portals to our light.

Wounds are the way in which we find our way back to our light. Even if the darkness of our subconscious programming has convinced us our doomed fate is to forever be bound and ensnared in the grips of it as truth of who we are. Because we are not our wounds. They are a part of us, stitched and woven in the fabric and quilt of our soul’s journey, but they are not the final destination point. Can we continue to find greater strength and authenticity through the activation and re-activation of our wounds? Chiron brings the pain, but also the elixir for the pain, that the medicine is in feeling and honoring the pain, not bypassing it altogether and toughening up, gritting and bearing our way through life’s greatest challenges. We must feel our way through it, all the way through. Chiron says with fierce love and devotion, “Step into the pain so you can free yourself from the pain.”

With Aries energy here, we may have overly identified with wound as identity. And these wounds often get mirrored back in our relationships with other. How to see relationships as portals to our wounds and not punishment for being wounded in the first place? Because we all are wounded. And wounds, much like Chiron reminds, don’t always fully heal. They might always carry a pang of the hurt and the sting. A familiar sense of weakness felt. But it does not mean healing hasn’t happened. Or that they will govern us or our choices now. How we relate to our wounds is the focal point of healing. Do we meet these parts with more love now and compassion? If not, we must start and end there.

Mercury, also in Pisces now, will be stationing direct a few days before the full moon, on April 7. As with all retrograde energies, the few week shadow period after can still be significantly felt. The lessons will be assimilating and integrating in our being still as we close out April and move part way into May. Mercury as always has brought the slow down energy to our minds, and in Pisces now, gifting us with deeper messages from beyond the veil and from the dreamworld. Our dreams might be super active and vivid, with clear and potent messages as we approach this full moon. Having a dream journal and practice could be highly encouraged. Our souls are highly active here and ready to deliver the messages we need to truly see, know, and understand the energies of self we are working to clear and release so we can be birthed anew.

Communication always begins within. How are we communicating to the parts of self that have felt stifled, muted, quieted, and silenced? How are we allowing these parts of self now to speak? How can we allow our soul self to speak in the coming days? The full moon will be making a T square to Mars in Cancer, highlighting some deeper emotional sensitivities even still and any lingering patterns of resentment. Where are we still holding onto hurt and the pain of the past and being asked to let go of now?

We will be swimming in a Pisces stellium of planets for this full moon also and for some time after. Pisces is all about endings. The deepest surrender and letting go. Having unshakeable trust in the free-fall back into the void and unknown. We are closing out big cycles of energy here. So be extra gentle on yourself as you learn to trust your connection to the divine above all else and release these outdated energies.

Venus will be sitting next to Saturn in Pisces, along with the North node (our fate and destiny) and Mercury. A whole Pisces soup of emotional brew revealing patterns of holding on to the old self out of fear of who we are becoming and illuminating lingering patterns of escapism. Saturn and the north node remind us of our sacred duty and responsibility to the collective soul path. The karma we move through and release is our greatest act of service and devotion to the whole.

Neptune has just moved out of Pisces and into Aries on March 30, beginning a new 14-year cycle and transit for the first time in 165 years. Neptune governs our dreams, spiritual worlds, and connection to the realms beyond the veil. In Pisces (its home ruler), we have been swimming through the literal dreamworld and spirit realms to get a felt sense of where it is we needed to reconnect to on a soul level. Soul retrieval energies have been at play here, reclaiming parts of the soul self and bringing our souls and dreams back online. But now in Aries, we have new ways to trust who we are now. To trust the invisible and unseen on a deeper level and know that we are supported fully to carve our mission and our path ahead. To plug us deeper into the root chakra energy of the self we are now and the spiritual path and purpose we are ready to step into. In a lived and actualized way, not just in the dreamy, sense of it all. To claim to the universe, “This is who I am now. I trust who I am now more than I ever have. I trust the spiritual support and wisdom within to guide me deeper into my mission of soul becoming as I embody my authenticity more and more.”

This Libra full moon is an end to a much bigger cycle of relational and soul growth. So we can begin a new one based on soul sovereignty and self ownership. To free ourselves even more from toxic relationships of all types, codependent relationships of all forms, to people, places, or things. To phones, to technology, to patterns of avoidance and self-abandonment. Because we can only abandon the authentic soul self and soul path for so long before all chaos and turmoil intervenes on our behalf. This isn’t punishment, but rejection as divine redirection to our soul aligned path. The pressure is on these days to stop dimming our light and stop hiding from our true nature. We are masculine and feminine. In sacred union within the self. In sacred relationship to the self and the soul. Life is relationship and we are life. We just forgot because of wounding and survival patterns of numbing, repression, and self-oppression. But we have sovereign choice to awaken. To remember that the mirror and portal of relationship is a doorway back to self.

Let this full moon clear out lingering energies of self-abandonment to appease the other. Clear out people pleasing fawning energy of survival. Let it remind you that right relationship begins within the self. Being in right relationship with the self. Remember you are worthy of your own kindness, compassion, and grace always, as you learn and as you grow. As you shed and as you let go. As you cling on and as you fear to crumble.

Let this full moon be a portal to healing on an even deeper level of your being. Gaze into the mirror of your own reflection. What do you see? What do you hear? Whose voices speak back to you? What boundaries need to be set with voices of judgement, self-criticism, fear, and energies not of divine source or love? Demand and command them to leave now. Reclaim sovereign space in your energy again. So that you can stand now more fully in your power. So that you can stand now more fully in your power. So that you can remember how to source and protect the light from within and no longer be fed on by energetic parasites desperate and starving for unclaimed and disembodied light sustenance. Let this full moon release you from bondage to all energies not of light source.

Let. The. Energy. Of. Soul. Speak. Louder. Reverberating. Truth. As. Body. And Mind. Partner. Together. In. Union. Once more. Let. Mirror. Of. Other. Call. You. Home. To. Self. Let. The. Wounds. Be. Held. Tenderly. In your hands. And held in the arms of the Mother. You. Worthy. Of. Receiving. Her Love. Love. As. Sacred. Relationship. To. God. Awaken. Awaken. Awaken. Aho. Amen. And so it is.
