Let’s see how MAGA cultists rationalize this one.
The bar is so low, set to crazy, for Trump, that he daily does and says things that would cause any other President, Republican or Democrat, a week or a month or a year or a forever of lost support.
PS: your freedom of speech is getting challenged,
your forests logged,
your coffee and car prices and lumber and sneakers and TP are going way up,
your water has sewage and chemicals and PFAS in it again,
your tax dollars are going to SpaceX and a record military budget,
your children are in danger of getting measles again,
your GOP Senate budget is the biggest debt in US history,
your Social Security and Medicaid are in danger, your retirement account is bottoming out,
your journalists are banned from covering the White House
…but let’s focus on hating vulnerable trans folks.

“I said to them, was there any sign of love?” Trump said, recounting his conversation with released hostages.
“Did the, Hamas, show any signs of like, help? Or liking you? Did they wink? Did they give you a piece of bread extra? Did they give you a meal on the side? … Like, you know, what happened in Germany?” Trump said, absurdly comparing the hostages’ situation to the Holocaust, which murdered six million Jews.
“People would try and help people that were in unbelievable distress,” the president went on, suggesting that the Nazis were known for their generosity.
“No, they didn’t do that, they’d slap us,” Trump said the hostages told him about Hamas, while sitting next to the man who is currently leading Israel’s genocide in Gaza. “Their hatred is unbelievable.”

My reply: We criticized Biden, often, fairly, but also applauded his working to actually invest in America and normalize sanity and decency and help us heal again and get our economy back on its feet faster than any other country post-Covid…and take on climate crisis for the sake of all children and all animals etc.
And yeah Kamala was competent and great. She would have taken on price gouging and worked for a fair peace in the Middle East, etc.
